Safety and certification

VCA** certification

Safety in the workplace and in the field is essential. To optimally assure the safety of our employees and the customers Eekels has been VCA-certified for many years. This has continually increased our safety standards, we identify risks earlier and we can prevent accidents. Every manager at Eekels is VOL-VCA certified. We also conduct a zero-job-related accident policy and constantly preventively monitor our work environment.

Personal Protection

Our engineers have all necessary personal protective equipment. In some cases, they can also have themselves extensively vaccinated and are well informed so they can protect their health and safety properly.

Product safety

Obviously our concern for safety also extends to the products we sell, rent and maintain. Based on years of experience, we have developed effective procedures for identifying and managing risks and making our products and the work we have performed as safe as possible.

Environmental protection

Our products are widely used in natural and often fragile environments. Environmental care – including prevention of pollution – is therefore an important issue. Our internal Performance Improvement Management (PIM) system provides strict rules and criteria regarding environmental issues and dealing with hazardous substances.

Envirometer User

Eekels has been an Envirometer User since March 2012. This means that we actively use the Envirometer. This online calculator developed by the Stimular Foundation addresses the environmental aspects (such as energy, water, waste, transport and internal handling) of our internal business processes, providing us with a quick and simple overview of our environmental performance and CO2  footprint. This will help us run our business in a more environmentally conscious manner.
 

ISO certification

Eekels is hard at work establishing procedures that within Eekels provide assurance on the various aspects of quality, environment, occupational health and safety. This will lead in 2012 to an ISO certificate being obtained for the Dutch branches. The branch in Zele (Belgium) is already ISO certified.
