These diesel- and air-operated diaphragm pumps can run dry and snore indefinitely. The diesel pumps are designed to quickly draw in contaminated and viscous fluids, even with solids. The air-driven pumps, manufactured by Wilden for example, draw in very fast and to a great suction height. The pumps are compact, lightweight and multifunctionally usable as industrial pumps and as contractor's pumps. An air-driven diaphragm pump is also excellent for use in locations where no electricity is available and in situations with an explosion hazard.
